Hi, I'm Missy. I live and work in Boston. By day, I manage the studio and some really cool projects at Stoltze Design. I also write about women in history and the outdoors (especially deserts), edit and make zines, and illustrate for fun (or for commission: firstname.lastname@example.org).
I came to Boston by way of Wisconsin, where I'm from. I studied writing, literature, and marketing at the University of Wisconsin, then moved out east to get my master's degree in publishing from Emerson College. Since then I've also assisted marketing and publishing faculty, directed projects at CambridgeEditors, interned in book marketing, written for the Boston Globe and elsewhere, launched two projects I'm really proud of (HUMANxNATURE and Moonrise), and run two-half marathons.
Other passions include tending to my houseplants (mostly rubber plants and African violets), reading, and pistachio-everything.
