Writer, editor, marketer.
Hi, I'm Missy.
I live in Boston and work in marketing. By moonlight, I also write (mostly about women, plants, nature, places, etc.), edit and design independent publications, and illustrate for fun and/or commission.
I came to Boston by way of Wisconsin, where I'm from. I studied writing, literature, and marketing at the University of Wisconsin, then moved out east to get my master's degree in publishing from Emerson College.
While in Boston, I've worked as both the business manager and a project manager at graphic design firm, Stoltze Design; assisted marketing and publishing faculty at Emerson College; directed projects at local editing firm, CambridgeEditors; interned in book marketing at Da Capo Press; written for the Boston Globe and elsewhere; launched two projects I'm really proud of, HUMANxNATURE and Moonrise; and run two-half marathons. Other passions include tending to my houseplants (mostly rubber plants and African violets), reading, and pistachio-everything.
Thanks for stopping by! Drop me a line to talk more.
